Yes, this is the second week of the devotion series. And who can forget the 'roti canai eating' game and that the girls beat the guys flat out? Yep, our girls can definitely work up an appetite.
And the rest of us, are we equally as hungry for God's word as we are hungry for whatever it is we are craving for? Pastor Alex reminded us of how much we need to crave and live by God's word.
It is like when we are physically hungry, we need to have our meals. And these meals are like nourishment for our physical bodies so that we will continue to grow. So, if we are not hungry, we won't eat. And if we don't eat, our bodies won't get the nourishment it needs to grow. In the same way, we NEED to be hungry for God's word and our daily devotion is like meal time. Through our devotion, we give nourishment to our spirit. Taking away your devotion is like taking away meal time. Goodness me! That is like asking your spirit to starve! Now, we don't want to do that do we?
Pastor Alex also mentions the importance of personalizing your faith. Always remember that God is not just Pastor's God or your parents' God. He is also YOUR God. And remembering it that way makes us believe even more. So, remember. He is your God too!
