Now, a short review of Teenacity service last Saturday. We had a great service last Saturday, of course! aorund 50 people were there and we had quite a few newcomers =)

To be a disciple, we have to committed to become one, and at the same time be mouldable for God to shape and change us!
Nothing shapes our lives more than the commitments that we make. Either they develop or destroy us, they will define us.
>> Proverbs 3 : 11-12
My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor detest His correction; for whom the Lord loves He corrects, just as a father the son in whom he delights.
>> Proverbs 11: 14
Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
We can’t be a disciple if we can’t be disciplined / corrected.
God speaks the truth through : - His Spirit
- His Word
- His Servants (Godly counsel)
>> Luke 5 : 8
When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, ‘’Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!’’
Knees : reverence, respect
Feet : conduct, lifestyle, dominion
It’s one thing to fall at His knees, but it’s another to fall at His feet.
Falling only on Jesus’ knees shows respect, but falling on His feet shows total surrender of conduct, lifestyle and dominion.
We don’t just respect God, but to live like Him.
>> Psalm 34 : 18
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.
>> Psalm 51 : 17
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart – These, O God, You will not despise.
God desires a broken heart and contrite Spirit. This is because He can and wants to make our shattered hearts and crushed spirits into something new, something of great worth ;)
>> Isaiah 64 : 8
But now, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our Potter; and all we are the work of Your hand.
>> Isaiah 45: 9
….Shall the clay say to him who forms it, ‘What are you making?’ or shall your handiwork say, ‘He has no hands?’
If we want to be a disciple, we have to be mouldable. God is the Potter and we are just the clay. Only He knows what is best for us as we can’t see ourselves from full perspective, His perspective.
Many times, the truths that are written in the Bible can be so challenging and even painful to us, but they are all for our good, whether on earth or for eternity! That's what God wants for us all these while - for us to get the best from Him and be the best that we can to Him!

Teenacity's MISSION POSSIBLE: LAPTOP FUNDRAISER has been activated (since May 5, 2007)!
A New Laptop will enable us to:+ create cooler multimedia stuff!
+ produce MTGs for our friends!
+ experiment with new ideas!
No more borrowing and breaking other people's computers! :P
The Target: To raise RM2500 collectively by June 2, 2007
The Math: 50 Passionate Teens X RM50 = BRAND NEW LAPTOP (worth RM2500)!
The Mission: Should you choose to accept, is to raise RM50 each through any ethical means possible. You may work as a TEAM/Huddle or individually. The choice is yours.
Suggestions?
+ Clean your neighbour's lawn (5 neighbours, maybe?)
+ Launch your own "CAR WASH"
+ Start a "Mini Bakery" - put those baker-hands to use
+ Fast 10 Meals?
+ Sell off some of your possessions (CDs you shouldn't be listening to anyway!)
These are just a couple of suggestive methods. Be BOLD, be CREATIVE! Pray and trust that God will provide. It's time to put your faith into ACTION!
And by the way, praise the Lord... one of our teens have already given RM500!!! What a powerful testimony!
